| http://www.essentialrecords.com/dayoffire/ Seriously...go to this site. Listen to this guy's testimony...and listen to his music. Totally amazing. His name is Joshua Brown and he was the lead singer for Full Devil Jacket which opened for Creed at one point. Now he's the lead singer for Day of Fire-a Christian band. And let me tell you...this isn't cheesy music. I really want to meet this guy. This is someone that God grabbed onto and didn't let go of. I think He's going to reach alot of people through this guy. And you know what else...I always have gone for a guy with a tatoo... Hmmmm....heehee. | | |
| Has anyone ever been on a blind date? Not fun. Let me tell you from experience. Has anyone ever been on an "almost blind" date? Well, that's what I'm doing this weekend. I'm scared to death...and I really hope it's nothng like the last blind date I went on. Although this time it's not technically a blind date, because we've met. Briefly. Very briefly. Months ago. Ahhhh....!! I'm not even sure I remember what he looks like. Ok..I'm scared. | | |
| It's almost Christmas now. And I have mixed feelings about that. For me, Christmas has always been about the preparation...driving around and looking at lights, going to Christmas shows, being in Christmas shows, listening to Christmas CDs, shopping and wrapping presents, baking, watching people open gifts, and of course Jesus. And it all climaxes on one day. But then it's over. And that makes me sad. I like looking forward to Christmas more than I like the actual day. The thrill of planning and preparation means more to me than the actual excitment of opening gifts on Christmas day. But I think that's actually a good thing. If I only looked forward to Christmas day because of the presents, then that would be self-centered, right? So, maybe I'm just looking at it in the right way. OR maybe I'm just growing up and that childhood "can't fall asleep the night before Christmas, wake up as early as I can" glisten in my eyes has passed. Who knows? All I know is that I do love Christmastime and it make me sad when it's all over. But...it's not over yet!!! So I'm still in high spirits
"Jesus I love you, my Lord, my life. Where would I be without you. Here in the silence, the still the night. I am in awe of You. Trials may come and friends they may go, but what really matters is You my Lord. Beautiful Savior, my God, my King. I am in awe of You." -Cradle Song, Rebecca St. James.

| Yay for Christmasy fun weekends!! This just so happened to be exactly that!! On Friday night I went to see the Christmas show with my cousin who I haven't seen in quite a long time. It was very fun...especially the drummer boy song (very stomp-ish) and Fortunato's solo w/Faith dancing. That gave me chills. P.S....GOOD JOB JOSH! Then Sat. night was dinner and Ice Skating outdoors in the wonderful city. I love the city at night. SOOO pretty. And how fun is it to bundle up and be all toasty warm with a cold nose and rosy cheeks skating along with friends? Very! Then on Sunday I went on a dinner cruise on the bay with my office and I brought my other cousin who I hardly ever see. Dinner was SOOOOO good and the bay was amazing at night!! We sailed right under the bridge and it was glorious!! So...yes, lots of fun!! I hope everyone can have a weekend as fun as that!!! | | |
| Omigsoh...the Incredibles was, well...INCREDIBLE!!! I LOVED that movie!! Elastigirl is very cool. I have to say she's my favorite superhero of all time And I loved the fact that the movie was totally adult. There was so much in it that I'm sure goes right over a kid's head. My favorite part was when Mr. Incredible was getting back into shape and they showed a little montage of him leaving for work every morning and Elastigirl would grab his tie and pull him back in the house or wrap her elastic arms around him and pull him back in cause she wanted one last kiss. And then in the last scene it shows her totally check him out as he leaves the house. How cute is that!!! I love it! So anyways, that's what I saw this weekend and I was very impressed. I also saw my preemie niece in the hospital. That was pretty impressive too. I've never seen such a small human in my life. Wow. | | |
